I am happy to announce that a new windows driver has been officially posted on Ranes website that should, hopefully, curb the dreaded white noise issue that occasionally occurs. This means less effort and man power available to fix issues with older products (i say older because I wouldnt call the 62 legacy just yet.you can still find them new and they are still prominently featured on Ranes website) Now I do feel kind of spited due to the 72 answer, but I kind of feel, and believe, it may have been treated as more of a lessons learned approach.

Most of the dev team was probably mainly wrapped up in doing what they could to make the launch of the 72 successful. It may have been more straightforward since its a hardware company buying just another brand to put on their banner, but there was still deffinitly some downtime due to this Rane 72 launch - cant make money off of an old piece hardware that everyone already owns, so we need to push new hardware. If you have ever been part of an acquisition, it kind of means you and your company are in limbo for 6 mo to a year at least.Īnd just trying to figure out what the hell the new company has in mind for you.

While my initial impression was what took so long The best thing Im seeing out of this driver update is that InMusic Rane is willing to address and fix issues for legacy products from their pre-acquirement days and that they are at least listening to complaints rather than ignoring it because its for old gear.
